Our beloved Sandra L. Gloria age 58, of San Antonio, Texas was called to our heavenly father on Thursday, October 1, 2020. She is reunited in death by her parents, Cayetano and Julia Gloria, stepmother Margaret V. Rodriguez, her maternal grandparents Enrique and Julia Lopez, her paternal grandparents Cayetano Sr. and Petra Gloria, Tia’s who were like mother’s Hermina “Minnie” Lopez, Leonila “Betty” Lopez, and her brother Cecilio Rodriguez Jr.
Sandra is survived by her children Erica Segovia and her husband Rodrigo, Victor Pena Jr., and Ruby Ontiveros and her husband Martin. Her siblings, Jerry Gloria and his wife Lydia, Lynda Medrano, James Gloria, Patricia Lopez, David Jeffery Gloria, Michael Anthony Gloria, and his wife Bianca, Greg Gloria, Virginia Ybarra, Diana Rodriguez, JoAnn B. Rodriguez, and John Albert Rodriguez. Six grandchildren in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
Growing up Sandra lived in Austin, Texas until the age of 4, she also lived in Los Angeles, California, and Supply, North Carolina. She and her siblings lost their mother Julia in the summer of 1968. Eventually, she returned to Austin, Texas and this was home for her. Sandra was a hard worker. She worked many years for Austin Independent School District and Furrs Cafeteria. Her character and life had such a tremendous impact on everyone around her. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Blessing will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Methodist Hospital Northeast and all the staff members with Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
