Roy M. Balderas, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy M. Balderas Sr. Born on December 15, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, Roy departed this world on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 70 years old, surrounded by family, love, and laughter.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Cynthia Balderas, and his three children: Pete Balderas (Evelyn), Roy Balderas Jr. (Pauline), and Jamie Leigh Rangel (Richard). Roy treasured his 11 grandchildren: Pete Jr. (Daija Rae), Roy III, Marc, Joel, Adrian, Alyssa, Julianne, Jordan, Bryan, Rylee, and Wyatt, as well as his great-grandchild, Lyla.

He is also survived by his two brothers, Richard (Mary) and Pete (Amparo), and four sisters, JoAnn, Dorothy (Javier), Sandra, Rachel (Marty) and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, George and Esperanza Balderas; his brothers, George, Roger, and Gilbert; his sister, Esperanza; and his grandson, Cooper Logan.

Dad will always be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, laughter, compassion, and the countless ways he touched others' lives. His memory is cherished, and his spirit lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to know him.
