Rosalinda F. Barrios peacefully passed away on July 30, 2023. She was surrounded by love and family in the comfort of her home. Rose was born to Antonio and Eugenia Felices on November 29, 1951 in Manila, Philippines. She was the 5th of 8 children and affectionately known as ‘Beh’. In high school she was class president, homecoming queen, and at 17 she was crowned Miss Santa Cruzan. She went to college at the Fabella School of Midwifery where she was treasurer and enjoyed tutoring students.
She moved to Germany in the 1970s, traveled all over Europe, and married Hector Barrios in 1978. Together, they had their only daughter, Jonessa Barrios in 1981. In 1985, they moved to Fort Benning, Georgia where Rose completed her schooling to become a licensed vocational nurse. In 1988, they moved to San Antonio, TX.
Anyone who knew Rose will remember her unconditional love for her family, her generosity, and her strength. She loved to travel, crochet, dance, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Hector; her daughter, Jonessa; her son-in-law, Pedro; her loving granddaughters, Natalia and Gabriela; her cousin, Myrna; her siblings, Antonio Jr., Ligaya, Jose, Zenaida, and Rosemarie; and plenty of nieces and nephews.
Our beautiful Rose will be missed but she will always remain in our hearts.
