April 19, 1946 — September 3, 2020

Robert Eugene Holcomb, age 74, of Converse, Texas passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, September 3, 2020. Robert was born and raised in Linton, Indiana until he was called to serve his country in the United States Navy. Serving valiantly, during the Vietnam conflict, where he earned the Bronze Star along with other citations, he came home to work for his country for 24 years. He worked as a Logistic Specialist for Lockheed-Martin and Flight Safety until his retirement in 2014.

Those who knew Bob, will always remember how kind and loving he was. He loved to see and talk to family and friends, travel, fish and loved to cook and was very committed to family. He enjoyed his weekly trips to Paul the, “Tomato Man,” and Granzine’s Meat Market.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Holcomb, son Robert Holcomb and wife Lisa, daughter Regina Meader, grandson, Troy Meader and one granddaughter Holley Holcomb; three step-children: Suzanne St Jean, Lisa Cervone and her husband Leo, Nicole Rull and her husband Robert; seven step-grandchildren: Scott Pierce, Blake Pierce and wife Maggie, Tyler Pierce, Kaylyn Pierce, Joseph Erickson, Shawn Erickson, and Kyle St Jean; brother, John Holcomb and wife Kim, and sister Rae Anne McKinley and husband Darryl; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne Holcomb of 49 years, his brothers: Steve Holcomb, Tom Holcomb, and a sister Connie Hibbard.

There will be a private viewing for family and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
