Rebecca Calvillo

Rebecca Yolanda Calvillo, age 79, of San Antonio, formerly of Laredo, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2020 at her home.  Rebecca was born on January 21, 1941 in Laredo, Texas to the late Enrique S. and Elizabeth R. Rodriguez Calvillo.  Following high school, Rebecca began a lifelong career as a retail clerk in various department stores in Laredo and San Antonio.  Her love of people and customer service made her work more of a hobby than it was a job.

Rebecca attended La Trinidad United Methodist Church in Laredo where she was an active volunteer in the youth groups and various other activities within the church.  Rebecca was a strong woman who knew how to take care of herself and enjoyed the adventures of life.  In her free times, she enjoyed reading and listening to music.  Rebecca had an outgoing personality and an infectious spirit that will live on in the hearts of those she knew and loved.

Rebecca is survived by one brother, Enrique “Henry” Calvillo, and wife Maria; one niece, Elena M. Pacheco, and husband Jacob; one nephew, Enrique Calvillo III; grandniece, Gabriele; grandnephew, Christian, all of San Antonio; and by a host of other relatives and very special friends.
