Raymond Roy Burk, age 65, of Live Oak, passed away in the late morning hours of February 23, 2021, after a brief illness. Raymond was born on November 5, 1956 to Charlie Vernon and Edith Loraine May Burk. Raymond graduated from Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1975. He then pursued advancing his education by attending Palo Alto College and UTSA.
Raymond went on to work for H-E-B where he earned the role of Fleet Manager and retired after 20 plus years of dedicated service.
Raymond was a dedicated father to his daughters, leaving behind a lifetime of memories. When they were younger, Raymond loved spending time with his girls – sometimes it was skating, bowling, or going to the movies. Many memories were made while scuba diving, camping, and attending concerts at Sea World. To his girls, Raymond was the best father, friend and singing partner belting out the oldies while driving down the road.
As they all grew up and started lives of their own, Raymond was never far away. Impromptu visits were common with Dad and many stories were made at birthday parties and holiday gatherings. In his free time, Raymond enjoyed wood working, NASCAR, baseball, football and anything to keep himself busy, especially working on cars and fixing anything that needed fixing around his daughters homes, at the farm or building additions to his mothers house.
Raymond leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication that will live on in the hearts of those he knew and loved.
