Ramiro Gonzalez

October 3, 1962 — July 5, 2024

Ramiro Gonzalez, aged 61, passed away peacefully in his home on July 5th, 2024. He was born on October 3rd, 1962, in San Antonio TX, to Manuel Gonzalez and Brigida Gonzalez. He was proud to be the baby of 11 children.

He was a proud and acknowledged resident of Independence KS, but his heart stayed with his family wherever they were. He graduated from Samuel Clemens High School leaving his mark on the track and field as a fierce competitor. Following his graduation and further higher education, Ramiro courageously enlisted in the Armed Forces, joining the Army to protect and serve his country and its liberty. Ramiro Gonzalez was a man who left an impression on any and everyone with his wily attitude and uninhibited humor.

He is preceded in death by Manuel, Brigida, Elvira, Elida, Marilyn, Isabel, Reynaldo and Raul Jose. Survived by Brother Harry and wife Linda and children. Gloria and children, Irma and spouse Francisco and children, Dora and spouse George and child, Cindy and children. He leaves behind his greatest accomplishment and legacy: Bridget (Mony) Hammer, her husband Nicholas Hammer along with their children, Destiny Romiti, Alexis Romiti and Kenneth Romiti. His son Cory (Daddy boiii) Gonzalez and his son Elijah Saballos-Gonzalez, his baby girl Raquel (Kelly) Gonzalez and her three girls Brooklynn Mcauliffe, Hazel Reilly and Rosabella Foor. His claimed son Adam Najera who he loved as his own. He was extremely proud of his Children and loved all his sweet Grand babies.

Ramiro was the kind of man who lead with an award winning smile and a laughter so contagious you couldn’t help but adopt his optimism. He lived life to the fullest, playing practical jokes, getting dirty in his garden, and hollering at any pretty lady walking past. Ramiro was love. He was a protector, a father, a son, a brother and if you were a stranger you weren’t for long. He lived his life like the rockstar he was, riding that bright red scooter on two wheels through those gold roads. With a peace sign up, a smirk over the shoulder, with his favorite farewell, “Laters”.

The family invites all to continue the celebration of life at 2 p.m. at VFW 8315 1000 FM 78, Schertz, TX 78154.
