Rachel Gonzalez, 37, entered eternal rest due to cardiac arrest on February 5, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to Reynold and Corina Gonzalez in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 2, 1987.
She is preceded in death by her father Reynold Gonzalez Jr., grandparents Reynold Gonzalez Robles and Alicia Gonzalez Muro, aunt Rebeca G. Graham, uncles Guadalupe Salazar Sr., Donald V. Lev and Juan De La Cerda, and cousins AJ Gonzalez, Aaron Salazar, and Mark T. Gonzalez.
Rachel is survived by her mother Corina Gonzalez, grandparents Guadalupe and Viola Salazar, siblings Richard and Rachael Booker, Jacob Salazar Sr., Jennifer Witten, and Nicholas Rey Gonzalez and Curtis Mechler, God mother Blanca De La Cerda, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rachel attended Roosevelt high school and later studied cosmetology at Milan institute. She worked in the food industry for years and loved working with people. She found her calling later in life as a caregiver working for Legacy at Forrest Ridge. There she was able to impact many lives.
Rachel had a deep passion for her family and loved celebrating with them. She enjoyed cooking, playing games, family barbecues, and city events. Rachel loved to laugh and brought joy to everyone she met. Her dog Bentley was a cherished member of the family. Rachel will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
