Phyliss Alvarado

Phyliss Elaine Kraus Alvarado, at the age of 67 of San Antonio, TX, passed unexpectedly in the early morning hours of August 21, 2014 at her home at South Texas Assisted Living.

Phyliss was born in San Antonio, TX on Sunday, June 29, 1947, the fourth child, and first daughter, of Robbie (Billingsley) and John William Kraus.
Phyliss graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1965, and was a student of the world the rest of her life. Her greatest loves were her faith, her family, and her friends.

Phyliss was preceded in death by her parents John William (Jack) and Robbie Kraus, one son, Travis L Watkins and one brother, John William Kraus Jr., also known as Jack.

Phyliss is survived by her daughter Denise (Rene) Wirtz, her grandchildren Campion, Patricia, and Travis, her brothers Russell (Linda) Kraus and Raymond (Winnie) Kraus, her sister Lauri (Kevin) Miner, as well as loved nieces and nephews, cousins,especially Carol Krauss, friends and neighbors. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.7735 Gibbs Sprawl Road, San Antonio, TX 78239 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor Gordon Zercher, Jr., officiating.
