Phoenix Marie Milner, age 16, of San Antonio, passed away in the late afternoon hours of Saturday, May 23, 2020 in New Braunfels, Texas. Phoenix was born on January 31, 2004 in Ft. Hood, Texas to Jamey Alan and Jessica Marie Botelho Milner. Phoenix came into the world like a ray of sunshine. Her bouncing personality and curious mind kept those around her on their toes.
As she grew, so did the love Phoenix had for people, sports – especially volleyball, basketball, and dancing. Her tenacious spirit and drive to be the best, led her to captain many of the teams she played for – most recently at FEAST Homeschool. Phoenix last displayed her artistic creativity and interpretation of dance at the Kathy Marfin’s Dance School. Phoenix was a true leader!
Although Phoenix left this world suddenly, she leaves behind a spirit and memories that will last a lifetime. In the time this world was blessed to know her, Phoenix was usually the energy of the room, the passionate young woman with a free-spirited soul who could make you laugh with how clumsy she was and leave you in awe with her natural beauty and the love she had for those around her.
Phoenix is survived by her parents, Jamey and Jessica Milner; one sister, Kansas Milner, all of San Antonio; grandparents, Oma Thieme of Louisiana, and Rachel and Richard Botelho of Connecticut; aunts and uncles, Dani Kelley, and husband Xavier, of Maryland, Brandon Botelho of Connecticut, Mindi Cooley, and husband Corey, of Louisiana, Stefanie Botelho of Connecticut, Heather Kreulen, and husband Cody, of Arkansas, Aurora Yontz, and husband Chris, of Kansas, and Skylar Milner of Kansas; and by a host of other relatives and very special friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 P.M., Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Rancho la Mission. 14047 Henze Road, San Antonio, TX 78223. 210-889-9000.
