Patricia Louise Kaough Johnson Burkham, born to Edward Patrick and Gladys May (McGuire) Kaough on 18 October, 1937, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord on July 3rd, 2016 in Schertz, Texas. She graduated from Westlake High School in 1955 and went on to McNeese State University where she had received scholarship playing the snare drums. She married and became a military wife traveling the world and raising her family. She went back to schoolto fulfill her dream at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She worked as a Government Employee for over thirty years starting at McClellan AFB, California; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fifth Army at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and the Defense Language Institute at Lackland AFB, Texas where she was apart of the Amigo Program, sponsoring numerous students from various countries. She finally retired from ARPC at Lowry AFB, Colorado in April 1994. She was known by many as Mom, Grammy, Aunt Patsy, Mrs. Pat, Sister and Friend. She was loved by all her knew her and her home was open to everyone. She never met a stranger; even in her last days she was still giving and taking care of others. We will miss her life, love, and laughter. She is preceded in death by both her parents, two infant brothers, brother Gordon Kaough, both husbands Richard E. Johnson Sr., and Wade H. Burkham; son Richard E. Johnson Jr. and Greatgrandchildren Zachary B. and Cera A. Lodge.She is survived by five children: Sherry Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; Debra (Roy) Jimenez of Converse, Texas; Gary Johnson of Wichita Falls, Texas; Nancy (Ernest) Castillo of Cibolo, Texas; and Michael Johnson of Schertz, Texas; Twelve grandchildren; Becky (Brian) Lodge, Brenda (Irvin) Hollowell, Ronnie (Nicole) Jimenez, Rubi Prescott, Ernest Castillo Jr., Christopher Gonzales, David Powell, Mercedes (Tyler) Warneke, Logan Johnson, Maylayasia Castillo, Marissa (Colton) Hopper, and Andrew Johnson and Fifteen Great grandchildren; Jahrid, Marcus, Samuel, Mya Kameron, Arya, Brycen, Abrianna, Clara, Breilyn, Lillian, Raymundo, Ronan, Alexandria and Araceli, whom she loved immensely and was very proud of each of them. Services to be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78239 with a wake in her honor on Thursday, July 7th 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and a funeral to be held on July 8th, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
