Patricia "Pat" Ann Baker
February 26, 1936 - August 30, 2017

Patricia Ann Baker, 81, passed away on August 30, 2017, in Converse, Texas. She was born on February 26, 1936, to David Jacob Shumaker and Kathryn (Kate) Marie Shumaker in Bainbridge, Pennsylvania. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-Bill Shumaker and Larry Shumaker. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Jerry Edwin Baker, daughter Karen Lynn Bohanan (Martin); three grandchildren, Allison Kate Kirbo (Tom), Lindsey Reed Bohanan, and Kristen Layne Bohanan; brother Terry Shumaker (Melodie), and other loving family members and friends. Pat grew up in Pennsylvania and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1955. She then worked in Civil Service for 31 years as a Systems Analyst until her retirement in 1991. Pat was an avid Judson Rockets football fan where she could be heard at every game cheering on the players and yelling at the referees. In her younger days, she was also a championship amateur bowler. Other than football and bowling, Pat very much preferred to stay at home and loved nothing more than collecting Beanie Babies, surfing the Internet, and eating Blue Bell ice cream. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 5th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service. All services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Park & Funeral Home on 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd in San Antonio, Texas.
