We've lost our son-of-a-gun. Our Dad was a perfect blend of curmudgeon and kind, gentle soul, who was a great father, brother, uncle, friend, and quiet neighbor. Many benefited from his generosity, given because he wanted to, without any expectations. After graduating from St. Gerard's High School, where he played football and was voted Homecoming King, he served in the Navy and, upon his honorable discharge, began a 30-year career with Western Electric. He was a hard-working man, as well as a fan of the outdoors, who loved hunting, fishing, and scenic views. He was patriotic, loved God, and liked a good meal and a good story, especially a good conspiracy theory. Daddy was proud of his family and is survived by daughter, Kristy, and her husband, Michael, and daughter, Karen. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Erin, Weston, and Skylar, his sister, Ruby Ann Fey, numerous nieces and nephews, his cousin, Jimmy Mayer, and his beloved friend and companion, Marian Elbel
