Mauro Morales

Mauro Morales heeded the Lord’s call, 12 September 2023, in San Antonio. Mauro began his journey the 15 January 1967 in Monterrey, Mexico. He came to the United States on student honor’s program attending North Dallas High School. This is where he met his soulmate, Edna Morales.

Mauro and Edna were married on 30 December 1985. Their matrimony was blessed with two children, Israel and Joshua. Mauro is the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Catalina, Marcos, and Delilah who will proudly carry on his legacy. The precious memories shared throughout his life will forever be engraved in their hearts.

Mauro Morales is a dedicated Marine.  He enlisted on 29 September 1986 and served 31 honorable years. Mauro retired as a Lieutenant Colonel the 01 December 2016. Mauro completed tours worldwide and deployed numerous times to Iraq and Afghanistan. Mauro continued his service to his country after his separation from the Marine Corps as a Transportation Supervisor for the United States Property and Fiscal Office. Although he enjoyed his work, his true passion was his love for his family. He found great joy in the time spent with his grandchildren. Mauro loved to travel the globe with the love of his life, walk his dogs, and work on his ongoing house projects. 

He is survived by his two sons, Israel and Joshua; three grandchildren, Catalina, Marcos, and Delilah. 

As we celebrate his life with friends and families, let us remember Mauro every time we see a beautiful sunrise, enjoy a long run, or drink a cold beer. We remember his big smile and even bigger heart which left all those who met him in a better place. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palms of his hands. Until Valhalla, Semper Fi!
