Mary Stoops

Mary Olga Stoops, 65 years of age of San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 3rd, 2017. She was born in Marion, Texas on April 14th, 1951 to Albino and Elvira Espinoza. She was a graduate of Sam Houston High School.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother (Momo), sister, aunt and friend. Mary enjoyed playing Mexican bingo with her grandkids, meeting them for lunch at school and watching them play in the swimming pool. Her biggest joy was being surrounded by family and friends. She loved listening to Tejano music, solving word search puzzles and making ceramics.

During Mary's accounting career she worked at Diamond Shamrock (now Valero), Kaepa Shoes and the Nix Hospital System.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Walter Stoops II; her son, Corey (Rosa Linda); Walter's children, Jennifer Parham (Otis); his son, Walter Stoops (Debbie); her grandchildren, Jasmine, Monica and Albert Espinoza; Cody Stoops; Janyce and Omari Parham; her sisters, Yolanda Espinoza and Norma Espinoza and her brother, Hector Espinoza (Sally). Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Albino and Elvira Espinoza; her sister, Nora Espinoza and numerous extended family members. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary's memorial service will be held on April 22nd, 2017 at Windcrest United Methodist Church, 8101 Midcrown Dr. at 12:00 pm. Her inurnment will be April 24th, 2017 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Peace Section, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl at 2:00 pm.

In Lieu of flowers, her family has requested donations be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association.
