Mark Ebaben

Mark D. Ebaben was born July 3, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Pershing Elementary School, St. Patrick's Catholic School, St. Gerard's Catholic and Hawthorne Middle School before graduating from Edison High School In 1970. He was a member of the Golden Bear Band which he enjoyed very much. After school he joined the United States Air Force for four years. He then joined the United States Navy where he stayed until his retirement. After he retired, he lived in Tidewater, Virginia and returned to San Antonio in April of 2012. He resided in Windcrest. Mark was a very generous person with his time, talent and treasure. Although he never had children, he indulged his nephews, nieces and their children. He loved his cousins as though they were his siblings, especially Juana Doyle. He adored his mother and was always thinking of ways to ease her life. He is survived by his loving mother, Anita Alaniz (Ebaben-Ornelas), his partner Michael Anderson, his brothers Paul Ebaben, Jr. and Andre E. Ebaben and his wife, Elizabeth, his aunts Sara Garcia of Freer, Texas, and Carmen Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by his nephews, Paul III of Chicago and his wife, Sarina, Andre Jr. and Anthony of Kansas and wives Kristin and Emily, and Adam of Georgia. Also, nieces Analiese of Germany and Angela of Ohio and a host of cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Ebaben, Sr. There will be a Rosary/Vigil service on Thursday, January 28th, 2016 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78239 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 Pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 29th, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1011 Willow St., San Antonio, Texas with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
