Marilyn Lucille Thomas was born September 18, 1954 in Killeen Texas to Henry Bob Fowler Sr. and Birdie Norlene Fowler. Named after her Aunt, Bessie Lucille Fowler, she was often lovingly referred to as “Aunt Lu”. The third of seven children Marilyn was meek and tenderhearted. Her generosity and kindness was coupled with a beautiful smile. Marilyn loved to swim and create. She was an exceptional mother, home maker, lifelong learner and avid reader.
She loved her family dearly, especially her children. She often cared for, cooked for, and entertained her family and friends extending her giving spirit and sharing her infectious laughter.She completed her education at Central High School and was awarded her diploma by the State of Texas. She came to the Lord and was filled with the Holy Ghost as a teenager and was baptized at Evangelist Temple COGIC under Superintendent J.L. Washington. As a dedicated servant in the Church she was an usher and sang in the choir. She loved her family dearly, especially her children. She often cared for, cooked for, and entertained her family and friends extending her giving spirit and sharing her infectious laughter.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Henry Bob Sr. ,son Timothy Dwayne Thomas, baby sister Madilyn Jean Mosely, baby brother Henry Bob Jr., and elder brother Nathaniel Wayne Fowler. She leaves behind her mother Birdie Norlene Fowler, daughter Waynikka Sharmaine Fowler, Matthew Cornelius Thomas, her grandchildren Tiara Janiece Fowler, Sheaira Janai Fowler and Malachi Cornelius Thomas as well as her sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
