Margaret Rios

Margaret Martinez Rios, of San Antonio, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the age of 77. She was born in Fredericksburg, Texas on January 29, 1943 to Seferina (Garza) and Sisto Martinez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Aldopho P. Rios, siblings: Alice Cruz, Jeanette Salinas, Juana Salinas, Joe Martinez and Sisto Martinez.

Survivors include her children, Viola Sarabia and husband Eloy, Edward Rios, Martin Rios, Modina Rios, and Monica Maldonado and husband Gabriel; 14 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren; as well as siblings, David Martinez and wife Linda, Faustino Martinez and wife Susanna, Susanna Salinas, and Catarina East.

Margaret was loving, caring, considerate and compassionate. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, baking, was a great interior decorator. She was fond of her plants, loved her parakeets, and was very spiritual with her faith and church. She drove nothing but pick-up trucks. Her family loved her very much and Margaret Rios will be missed.

Her memories will be cherished and remembered forever!

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (2114 W Houston St, San Antonio, TX 78207) at 10:00 a.m. The Rites of a Christian Inurnment will be held at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
