Marcus Terrell Drisker passed away January 28, 2025, at the age of 52. His sudden departure has left his family and friends deeply saddened but they take comfort in the love, faith, and joy he shared throughout his life.
At an early age, Marcus gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in Jesus name at Sweet Home Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA He loved and believed in the Lord.
Marcus found great fulfillment in his profession as a truck driver. He took immense pride in his work, cherishing the opportunity to travel across the country and experience its beauty. He loved sharing stories of his journeys, always captivating those around him with his vivid tales and adventurous spirit.
Marcus passing leaves a profound void, but his memory will live on through the many lives he touched. We ask that he be remembered not for the way his life ended but for the love, laughter, and generosity he brought into this world.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Brandie, and his children Marcus Jr., Julius, Lyniece, Markeisha (PK), Jork, Aleeah, Markessa, and Devonte, as well as 18 beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother. Glendale Drisker; brothers, Steven (Pamela) Derrick, and Omar Lynch, his cherished aunt, Lauretta Exum, and uncles Kennie and Carl Drisker, Marcus was also blessed with a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marcus was known for his loyal friendships, and he held a special bond with his closet friends, Chris Johnson (Coot), Edward Noble ( Ketchumi), and Chris Bester (DD).
He is preceded in death by his “daughter, Markaylin (Root), his father, Curly Lynch, and his maternal grandmother, Annie Melvin.
Though he may no longer walk among us Marcus’s legacy of love, faith and adventure will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His family finds solace in knowing that he is now at peace, watching over them with the same love he shared in life.
