Mae Jutz Reininger passed away on May 5, 2018. She was born on May 27, 1926 to Edmund F. Jutz and Gussie Dahlmann Jutz and was raised in Nordheim, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Reininger. Mae was preceded by her brothers, Homer S. Jutz and Edmund F. Jutz. Two of Mae’s passions were quilting and square-dancing. There was always a quilt in progress and her dancing shoes were always ready to go! Mae enjoyed making afghans for family and making quilts for the children in the local hospital. She was also a dedicated volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years. Mae loved music of all types and maybe that is what spurred her to buy a piano one day and make sure that the girls took piano lessons for years. That decision has paid life-long dividends, with daughter Patty still playing the piano. Mae was a faithful believer in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a life-long Lutheran, supporting many churches over her lifetime. Mae is survived by her four children: daughter Susan Davis (Mike), daughter Patty Moczygemba (John), son Russell Reininger (Deb), and son Randall Reininger (Terry). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Road, with a viewing at 10:00am and a service following at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mae’s name to her hometown church, St. Paul’s Lutheran, P.O. Box 188, Nordheim, TX 78141, or to Upbring/Lutheran Social Services, 8305 Cross Park Dr., Austin, TX 78754.
