Lucille Hager

January 29, 1937 — December 6, 2022

On December 6, 2022, with family at her side, Lucille Edna Hager, peacefully passed into the arms of her Gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born January 29, 1937, as the second child of parents, Albert and Edna Karnei.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rose Marie, brother Albert, and stepson Robert.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years Robert “Bob” Hager, stepson Kevin Hager, sister-in-law Ardyce (Rollie) Jaastad, nieces Gay (Chris) Gonzales, Janet (Joseph) Mueller, Debbie Polasek, nephews Randy (Yang) Hires, Gerald (Laura) Hires, Dennis (Pat) Hires, Albert Karnei, several other nieces and nephews, and her fur babies Sadie, Trudy, Khloe and Khali.

Along with her extreme devotion to family her other greatest passion was crocheting.  Attested by her numerous lap afghans given to family and friends and several different Hospice organizations, Fisher House, and Wounded Warriors at Ft. Sam Houston.

Special thank you to Trinity Hospice staff for their wonderful care during her final days.

A memorial service to celebrate Lucille’s life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 5520 S. Flores St in San Antonio, TX.  Service to be on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 1:00 pm.  To celebrate Lucille’s life wear her favorite color, pink.  Reception will follow at Bob and Lucille’s house at 126 LeCompte Place.
