Leonard Wale

Leonard H. Wale, age 66 years, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer on January 20th, 2016. He was the husband of Mary Wale and they spent 24 wonderful years together. Leonard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 6th, 1950 and relocated to San Antonio during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He is survived by his wife Mary Gras Wale, daughter Melissa Wale, sister Cookie W. Noverola and brother Chester A. Wale. He is preceded in death by his father Chester G. Wale, his mother Lorraine D. Wale and sister Catherine W. Porte. "Lenny" was a family man who adored his wife and his daughter, Melissa. Lenny will remembered for his love of working on cars and the outdoors. Especially crabbing, craw fishing and fishing. He was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The world he leaves behind is a much better place because of the selfless life he lived. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Tx. 78239 with a funeral service to follow. Interment following the funeral will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
