Kimberly Catherine “Kim” Humensky, born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Jan. 18, 1974, departed for Heaven from Houston, Texas on June 28, 2018 to become an angel. Greeting her in her new home were her maternal grandfather, Billie C. Murphy, and her paternal grandparents Albert A. Sr. and Ruth Humensky. Her brother Jason and dog Levi were also there to greet her.
Kim will be greatly missed by her many coworkers and friends in Houston and San Antonio. Her bright smile, bubbly personality, and loving heart will be missed by all and especially her parents Cathy and Al, grandmother Virginia Murphy, aunt and uncle Suzanne and Tom, aunt Georgette Murphy, and many cousins.
Kim loved all sports and really enjoyed watching the World Cup Soccer Tournament. She played several sports during her school days and was on the varsity soccer team at Roosevelt HS in San Antonio. She played club soccer from age 6 through high school.
She moved to Houston 20 years ago and quickly joined Continental Airlines (now United Airlines) and moved up from ticket agent to gate agent, area manager, the International Department, and was in training for a supervisor position.
Her ready smile and outgoing personality were a hit with coworkers and passengers. Her coworkers in Houston count her as a very, very special friend. United has lost a fantastic person, but she is a blessing to Heaven.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 with the Rev. Ray Davies presiding. Both will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kim’s name be made to your favorite children’s or animal’s charity.
