Kathleen Flores

Kathleen (Kathy) Christine Flores was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She passed away on September 28, 2022 at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was one of seven children born to Lenore “Lee” and Delton Riebschlager. Siblings include Tommy Riebschlager, Gary Riebschlager, Frank Riebschlager, Jeannine Lowden, Paul Riebschlager, Peter Riebschlager.

Kathy spent a career in taking care of others as a Certified Nurse Assistant and spent 13 years working at University Hospital in San Antonio. She had an unwavering sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and made everyone she met feel loved and welcomed. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time with her family, watching movies, listening to live music, and dancing.

Kathy is survived by her husband, James Flores, of San Antonio, Texas; daughters Amanda Cox of Sacramento, California, Heather Wellington of Rocklin, California, and son Shan McGinnis of San Marcos, Texas; and four grandchildren: Tyler Cox (9), Emma Cox (8), Liam Wellington (8), Ava Wellington (6).

Services will conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.
