Julian (J.C.) Candler Westbrook Jr. passed away on March 10, 2021. He was born on August 29, 1951 to Julian Candler Westbrook Sr. and Alice Marie Westbrook in San Antonio, Texas. After he graduated from McCollum High School in 1969, he attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He moved back to San Antonio in 1974 and established a career as a real estate broker. His career evolved over time as he worked in other disciplines such as a property manager, property inspector and landman. He had a good mind for business and people valued his advice and mentorship. He loved to hunt, fish, gamble, travel and spend time with his grandkids.
J.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Andrade Westbrook, stepsons Billy Osborne and Gary Osborne, his father and mother. He is survived by his son Julian Candler Westbrook III and his wife Cathrine, grandchildren Madison Bailey Westbrook, Mason Thomas Westbrook, sisters Laura Belle Grover (and her husband Peter) and Annelle LaCoste (and her husband Bo), brothers Anthony Westbrook (and his wife Jeanette) and Ronald Westbrook (and his wife Connie), aunts Billie George and Minnie Hutchinson, stepson Howard Buttress and step-grandchildren Russel Osborne and Emily Osborne.
The family will have a service on Friday April 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Those who would like to attend virtually, may do so through the link provided below.
