Johnnie Lockhart-Hill

Johnnie S. "Honey" Lockhart Hill was born October 31st, 1920 and passed from this earth on October 11th, 2012. She was a proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin State Teachers College, Class of 1941. She was such a dedicated Lumberjack that she wore her senior ring until the day she passed away. She taught in Beaumont ISD for many years until the family moved to Germany to follow Sarge in his military career. When we returned from Europe, she began a career with Vidor ISD until she retired in August 1980. Her children and grandchildren were some of her greatest joys. She always wanted to know "what are the kids doing?" Her interest never waivered in regard to the kids until the day she was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ. She lived a full and beautiful life and faced all adversities with strength and courage.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack E. Lockhart and Rodney W. Hill, son, Philip Lockhart, grandsons Jason and Terrance Lockhart and granddaughter, Monica Faifer.
She is survived by son, James V. Lockhart (Rosanne) of Milford, Tx and daughter, Jacquelin Sue Faifer (Kenneth) of San Antonio, TX., 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
