John Mcpherson

John A. McPherson, of San Antonio, TX, aged 72, passed in peace on October 5th, 2021. He lost his long battle to ALS, but now he is no longer suffering.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Carmen McPherson as well as his brother, Michael McPherson.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia McPherson; his children, Joe Guarnero and wife Lisa, Cathleen McPherson, Alex Guarnero, Chasity Stewart and husband Scott, Rebeca Calvillo and husband Gordon, and Jennifer McPherson; his 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda and Betty; his brother William and a wealth of dear and devoted friends.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me,

please try to understand,

That an angel came and called my name,

and took me by the hand;

The angel said my place was ready,

In Heaven far above,

And that I'd have to leave behind all that I dearly love.

But when I walked through Heaven's Gates,

I felt so much at home,

for God looked down, smiled at me,

And told me "Welcome Home."

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don't think we're far apart,

for every time you think of me,

I'm right there in your heart.

A Visitation will be held in chapel #1 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 with his burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Prayer.
