Jimmy (Jim) Ray Boyer, 62, of San Antonio Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday February 18, 2022.
Jimmy was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 9, 1959 to Barton and Billye Francys Boyer. He graduated from John Jay High School in 1976. In June of 1983 he married Barbara Miller. They welcomed 2 children into world, Joshua and Sarah. Jimmy served and retired with 20 years from the United States Air Force and worked for over 35 years at HEB. Throughout his life he worked multiple part time jobs such as: Sears, security guard, real estate agent, notary, and many others. Jimmy always did what he needed to do to better the life of his family. He was a true role model for us all. In his spare time, like the true Texan he was, he loved being outdoors either working on his property or hiking the many trails in Texas.
Jimmy will be remembered for being a proud American soldier and a dedicated hard-worker. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Jim had the biggest heart and was always willing to do anything to help others. Jimmy touched many lives during his time here on earth and he will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Boyer, son Joshua Boyer, daughter Sarah (Boyer) Giordano, his brother David Boyer, his sister Janis Boyer, and niece Lyndi Boyer. He is predeceased by his father Barton Boyer and mother Billye Francys Boyer.
Viewing will be Tuesday March 22, at 24/7 Church, 5414 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX 78247 from 11am-12pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 12pm. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 pm. Flowers or gifts can be sent to Chapel Hill Funeral Home; in lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Jimmy.
