Jesus (Jesse) M. Munoz

Jesus (Jesse) Mendoza Munoz was born in El Paso (Ysleta), Texas on April 21, 1943. He passed away in San Antonio on March 21, 2024, at the age of 80. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ana Luz Munoz, parents, Juan and Julia Munoz, in-laws Juan and Ana Aguayo, and son-in-law, Richard N. Dolski.
He is survived by his children, Daniel Munoz, Delia Thomas and husband Michael, Diana Dolski, grandchildren, Emerson Thomas (Segura) and husband Jimmy, Megan Thomas, and Kyan Dolski. Jesse was the second eldest of 12 children. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Joe (Nellie), Arturo, Tony (Martha), Tommy (Lucy), Tere (John-deceased), Ricky (Liz), Mando (Delia), Ruben (Rosemary), Lupe (David), Nena (Ron), Gilbert (Bertha), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jesse was a proud member of the armed forces and a 22-year veteran of the US Army (Dental Specialist). Active duty took him to Missouri, Kentucky, two tours in Alaska, California, Germany, North Carolina, Washington, and several tours in Texas. Upon military retirement from Ft. Lewis Washington, Jesse began a second career as an Eligibility Specialist for the Department of Veteran Affairs. Jesse retired from the VA Hospital in 2008 after 20 years of service.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home from 1:00-4:00. The family will gather for private services at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
