J.C. Hagelgans

J.C. Hagelgans, age 84, of Converse, Tx., passed away at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015. He was born in San Antonio, Tx. on March 7th, 1931 to Otto and Mary Hagelgans. He is survived by his daughters Wanda Wendel, son-in-law Roger Wendel of Converse, Tx.,and Anita Carlton and son-in-law Philip Carlton of Wetherford,Tx. He also leaves behind a brother, Lawrence Hagelgans of Kirby, Tx.; grandchildren Jeffrey Wendel and his wife Em, Nora Karsten of Granbury, Tx., Jacy Henderson and husband Mike, Greg Alvarado, also of Granbury, Tx. His great grandchildren are Jocelyn and Kirsten Wendel of San Antonio, Tx., Hayleigh, Mickayla, Angaliyah, Shawllen-Gage Henderson, all of Granbury, Tx., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. As with his parents, J.C. was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Hagelgans, his brothers Otto Jr. and Alvin Reese Hagelgans. After retiring from Central Freight Lines of San Antonio as a driver, a job he dearly loved, J.C. focused on his other loves; family and horses. J.C. is loved and will be truly missed. Funeral Services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Tx. 78239, on Friday, July 17th, 2015 at 2:00 pm, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park to follow.
