Janie Stitt

Janie Muzette Stitt was a caring wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She left this world on December 20, 2021 at the age of 90.

She was born to Malcolm & Lottie Pleasant on June 27, 1931. She married her military husband, Jimmie N. Stitt on June 5, 1954 in Danville, VA. The Army sent them to various duty stations over the next 18 years & together they had 4 children: Jimmie Jr., Joyce, Judy & Janet.

Janie was a stay at home Mom, who after losing her husband in 1995, kept her family close together.

A chapel service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on December 30, 2021 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Road, San Antonio, TX 78239. Interment will be at Ft. Sam National Cemetery with her husband on December 31, 2021 at 9 a.m.
