James Cone

MR. JAMES RICHARD CONE
James Richard Cone was born on March 30, 1946. He passed away on May 9, 2017 at the age of 71.
James is survived by Cherry, his loving wife of 50 years. He's survived by his son Darren, daughter Wendy; and their spouses Karen Cone and Rick Gonzalez. He's survived also by his grandkids that were the gleam in his eye to him. Haley and Kyle Cone, Jacob and Riley Gonzalez kept him telling the stories he lived.
James was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Josephine; also by his brother Adolph jr.
James was born in Lawton Oklahoma. He Graduated from Sam Houston high school in 1966, later that year he married the love of his life on December 17.
James signed up to serve our country shortly after graduating high school and served his country before moving on to civil service at Brooks Air Force base where he worked until retirement in 1998.
James spent a good part of his adult life supporting his children, as a coach and leader of athletics, 4-H; and rodeo. Through his life he left a legacy that continues on through his children and all the young folks his life touched.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM with interment following with Military Honors at Chapel Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78239.
A Reception will follow at Hermanson's Lodge 219 Bauman Kirby, Texas 78219 and all attendees are invited.
