Jack Wood

Jack David Wood, of San Antonio, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born on May 11, 1951 in Springdale, Arkansas to Virginia Bell (Weeks) and Jack Daniels Wood.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and daughter, Jacki Jo Wood.

Survivors include is daughters, Heather McElwain, and Toni Alvarado and husband (Guillermo); grandchildren: Tanner McElwain and wife Sierra, Aubrei Trevino and husband Adrian Hernandez, Alicia Alvarado, Isabel Alvarado, Alexander Alvarado, Samaria Alvarado, Kiki Montes, Oliver Brascom; great grandchildren, Aubrei-Anah Hernandez, and Adrian Hernandez, Jr.

Jack was a loving father and especially, grandfather. He cherished the time he spent with his family and never took it for granted. He enjoyed being involved in his grandchildren’s lives, whether it was cooking a meal for them, setting out their clothes or even helping them do their chores.

His family will miss him enormously and will never forget his love and friendship.

A Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, February 13, 2021 and will begin 10:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:30 p.m., and the Burial will be held afterward at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
