Irma Grace Crutchfield, age 67 of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2017.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 19th, 2017, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd, San Antonio, TX 78239.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 20th, 2017, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
Pastor Randy Garcia of Fortress Church will be officiating.
Irma was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 24th 1950. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and foster parent.
Irma is survived by her husband of 29 years, Monty Crutchfield, four children, Tony Lopez, Jennifer Lee, James Crutchfield, and Marisa Villareal. Her sister, Alicia Gonzalez and two brothers, Jesse and Carlos Vidaurri, daughter in-law, Erika Wyckoff son in -Law, Efrem Villareal, and Kinzie Engelking fiancAC. of James. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kailey Lopez, Benjamin Lee, and Izamar and Brianna Villarreal, as well as Julian, son of Kinzie. Irma was proceeded in death by her sister, Mary Vidaurri.
For the past 17 years, Irma dedicated her life to working as a foster care parent. She always had children in her home and provided a warm, nurturing environment. Irma had a heart for serving children and wrote a children's Christian book, "The Many Tales of Mitzie the Mouse." She was a member of the Christian Writers Group of Greater San Antonio and wrote several short devotions. Irma leaves behind a legacy of love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to organizations assisting in the recovery efforts of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
