Hien V. Tran

Mr. Hien was born on January 6, 1943 to Mr. Tran Van Tuong and Mrs. Pham Thi Dam and grew up in Quang Tri, South Vietnam alongside with his two older brothers and a younger sister.

After graduated from University of Education in Qui Nhon, he joined the South Vietnamese Army to the rank of Lieutenant. He then began his career as an Educator after leaving the Army.

In 1975, he joined his Mother, his Brother and his Sister-in-Law along with his nieces and nephews to come to U.S. and settled in San Antonio, Texas. After a short time working for HEB, he stayed home to care for his elderly Mother.

In addition to his family, Hien loved music and at one time, was a proficient Mandolin player. He always appreciated high education, loved reading and learning, and was popular among his neighbors.

Hien is survived by his 19 nieces and nephews.
