Harvey Hatler

October 11, 1963 — October 13, 2014

Jack Hatler (Harvey Jack Hatler Jr.) died at the age of 51 on October 13, 2014 at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio. He was born October 11, 1963 in Etain, France to Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Jack Hatler and wife, Mary Hatler. He is survived by his children Jack Hatler (age 23), Kenneth (age16), and Maritza (age 11). He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law LeLynda & Larry Ratliff of Canyon Lake and their children John & Steven Ratliff.
Jack was a 1982 graduate of Clemens High School. He loved the SCUCISD district and lived in the district all his life. He was recognized for his many contributions to enhance campus activities. He is fondly remembered for bringing his miniature horses to Rosegarden Field Days. He was a car enthusiast, enjoying both car shows and car races.
Jack was very loved by his children and will be greatly missed. His passing left a void in the family that no one else can fill. He will always be carried in their hearts as "DAD". The children find peace in knowing that their father is no longer suffering and has now joined his Mother and Father for eternity.
Jack fought a long battle with MRSA, kidney failure and other vascular complications. He lost both legs to amputation and suffered a major stroke that crippled his entire right side. When facing more amputation, he said he was ready to go home to be with the Lord. Jack died quietly in his sleep, but his memory will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
There will be Memorial Service Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 7:PM.
