Gustavo M. Ayala, of Fresno, Texas, passed away on December 28th, 2015 after a sudden illness. He was 29 years old. Born June 9th, 1986, he was the son of Gustavo and Diana (nee Flores) Ayala in McAllen, Texas. He became a car salesman, a profession that suited his outgoing and gregarious personality. Everyone will remember him for his gusto, his love of laughter and his talent to inspire laughter at work and on the golf course. A lush, well-trimmed beard became his well known personal trademark. Customers would often come to the dealership and ask to speak to "Mr. Beard." A loving father and devoted family man, Gustavo is survived by his wife, Mandy Benavides, son Nicholas Hudson-Ayala, and daughter Annabelle Nichole Ayala. He also leaves behind his brothers Pedro G. Ayala, Gustavo Ayala II, Luis Ayala, and Christian Ayala. Also sisters Diana P. Calcote, Elia Ayala and Caroline Ayala. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 31st, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78239, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services are pending. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Gustavo's name to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org/honor), or to his children.
