Gilbert Garcia

Gilbert R. Garcia, father and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016. He was born here in San Antonio, Texas on July 5th, 1950 to Marcos and Elvira Garcia. He served in the United States Marine Corps and, after his discharge, went to work for Coca-Cola, Kelly Air Force Base and Lockheed Martin. Gilbert is survived by his three sons, six grandchildren and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jesse and Juan Garcia, sisters Belen Vara and Rosie Moreno. Gilbert is survived by his brothers Raul and David Garcia, sisters Mary Ochoa, Janie Talamantez, Agnes Saucedo and Irma Toral. Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78239 on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A Rosary is scheduled for 6:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 6680 Crestway Dr., Windcrest, Texas, 78239 on Friday, May 27th, 2016 at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
