Frankie Uhr

Frankie Emline Ackermann Koehler Uhr was born November 18, 1928. She passed away on November 24,2015 at the age of 87 years and 6 days. She was the daughter of Norwin Frank Martin Ackermann and Helene Nettie Pfeil. Frankie was baptized, confirmed and married at Grace Lutheran Church in San Antonio. She graduated from Fox Tech High School. She married Leroy Rudolph (Rudy) Koehler on June 8, 1947. She worked various jobs in San Antonio and retired from the Civil Service. Frankie and Leroy had three children: Kenneth Wayne Koehler, Dennis Dale Koehler, and Peggy Lee Koehler Davis. Her husband, Leroy, passed away on March 14, 1968, leaving her to raise three teenagers. Later, she married Henry Theodore Oscar Uhr, Sr. on June 20, 1981. Frankie and Henry enjoyed dancing to polka music. They loved when they moved to their new house on Lake Dunlap in Guadalupe County. Her husband, Henry, passed away on January 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Erna and Adele, her brother Vernon, son Kenneth, and son-in-law Robert V. Davis. Frankie is survived by her son Dennis and wife Diana of New Braunfels, and daughter Peggy of New Braunfels. She is also survived by her three grandsons- Devin Koehler and wife Deon of Wall, Texas, Derek Koehler of New Braunfels, and Scott Davis of New Braunfels; two step great-grandsons, Camden and Colton Daniel of Wall and twin great-grandsons Carter Lane and Cash Landon Koehler of Wall. Visitation will be Sunday November 29, 2015, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, Tex. 78239, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, at 10:00 AM, also at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The Pallbearers are her grandsons Devin Koehler, Derek Koehler, and Scott Davis; nephews Joey Schwab, Kerry Koehler and Melroy Koehler.
