San Antonio -- Francis "Frank" T. Howanic, 78, left us to join his Linda on June 23, 2019 with his family at his side.
Frank was born January 21, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Bette Howanic and is preceded in death by the love of his life, Linda Howanic. Frank leaves behind 3 siblings: Carole, Sandy, and Tom. Two step sons, Doug and Bob. Their son Tom and two awesome grandkids Micah and Logan.
Frank swept Linda off of her feet while she was waitressing in 1969! They traveled many places due to Frank being in the Air Force Band. After 26 years, Frank retired at Scott Air Force Base and Linda retired from the Bank of O'Fallon. Afterwards they decided to move to Universal City, Texas. Their Son Tom, his wife Juanita and their son Logan soon followed.
His interests included Music, family (especially Logan), crossword puzzles, funny birthday and Christmas cards, friends, and funny t-shirts. He devoted most of his time and energy destroying hard crossword puzzles and telling funny jokes.
Linda and Frank's Memorial Service will be at Patriot Martial Arts on Sunday, July7th @ 4:00pm. Their Military Honors funeral will be July 9th @ 9:45am, Shelter #5 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
