Federico Ortiz Gonzalez (05/01/53 – 02/22/23)

It is with tremendous heartache that we announce the passing of Federico Ortiz Gonzalez, of San Antonio, Texas - Son of Josefa Ortiz, and late father, Jose Dolores Gonzalez. Federico was born May 01, 1953, passing to spend eternal life with the Lord on February 22, 2023, at the age of 69. Federico was a very loving son, who cared dearly for his mother, always making sure he was up early to make her coffee and breakfast, to ensure she took her medicine and vitamins, tended to the house, and took her to all her appointments and grocery shopping. Her guardian angel. He was also a great brother and father, a wonderful, calm, and caring person, who will be truly missed.

He is survived by his mother: Josefa Ortiz Gonzalez; his children: Sophia JoAnn Gonzalez, Rafael Antonio Gonzalez, Federico Gonzalez-Vidal, Lynette Gonzalez-Vidal, and Evelyn Gonzalez-Vidal; his grandsons: Jesse, Christopher, Anthony, Michael; his great grandson: Piers; his siblings: Esther, Augustine, Rosemary, Sylvia, Isabel, and Jose Luis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Dolores, and brother Gilbert.
