Ernesto Martinez

Ernesto Montelongo Martínez, de 49 años, de San Antonio, falleció el domingo 27 de diciembre de 2020 luego de una breve enfermedad. Ernesto nació el 7 de noviembre de 1971 en San Luis Potosí, México de Antonio Montelongo Mares y Aurelia Martinez Loera.

Ernesto se casó con el amor de su vida y su mejor amiga, Enedina Gonzalez Martinez El 25 de julio de 1997 en Madisonville, Texas. Juntos tuvieron dos hijos, compartieron el viaje de la vida y crearon una vida de recuerdos. Después de 23 años de matrimonio, sobrevive.

Ernesto era un hombre que amaba a su familia. Desde que era un niño hasta la edad adulta, la familia siempre fue importante. Ernesto fue un esposo dedicado y un padre amoroso para sus hijos. Trabajaba como mecánico y le encantaba arreglar cosas. Ernesto siempre se apresuraba a ayudar a sus hermanos, ya fuera en el garaje o en la casa, dondequiera que lo necesitaran se ofrecía como voluntario. A Ernesto le gustaba cocinar, especialmente la barbacoa. Ernesto deja un legado de amor y dedicación que vivirá en los corazones de aquellos a quienes conoció y amó durante las generaciones venideras.

A Ernesto le sobreviven su esposa, Enedina; los niños, Alexander Montelongo y Sara Montelongo; hermanos, Juana María del Carmen, María Guadalupe, Marcela Montelongo, Cruz Montelongo, Javier Montelongo, Elizabet Montelongo y Gisela Montelongo; padre, Antonio Montelongo Mares; suegros, Anselmo y Rita González; y por su amigo Carlos Ramos.

El rezo del Rosario y los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. del miércoles 30 de diciembre de 2020 en la funeraria Chapel Hill con el padre Richard Aguilar oficiando.

Ernesto Montelongo Martinez, age 49, of San Antonio, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 after a brief illness.  Ernesto was born on November 7, 1971 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Antonio Montelongo Mares and Aurelia Martinez Loera.

Ernesto married the love of his life and his best friend, Enedina Gonzalez Martinez on July 25, 1997 in Madisonville, Texas.  Together they had two children, shared life’s journey and created a lifetime of memories.  After 23 years of marriage, she survives.

Ernesto was a man who loved his family.  From the time he was a young boy through adulthood, family was always important.  Ernesto was a dedicated husband and loving father to his children.  He worked as a mechanic and had a love of fixing things.  Ernesto was always quick to help his siblings whether it be in the garage or around the house, wherever he was needed he would volunteer.  Ernesto enjoyed cooking, especially BBQ.  Ernesto leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will live on in the hearts of those he knew and loved for generations to come.

Ernesto is survived by his wife, Enedina; children, Alexander Montelongo and Sara Montelongo; siblings, Juana Maria del Carmen, Maria Guadalupe, Marcela Montelongo, Cruz Montelongo, Javier Montelongo, Elizabet Montelongo, and Gisela Montelongo; father, Antonio Montelongo Mares; father and mother-in-law, Anselmo and Rita Gonzalez; and by friend, Carlos Ramos.

Recitation of the Rosary and funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Father Richard Aguilar officiating.
