Elroy Pieper, born, January 13, 1942, passed peacefully on Monday, 24, 2017 at 75 years of age. He was surrounded by family and friends.
Elroy worked for Texas Industrial Services as a Computer Operation Supervisor for 20 years. He worked at St. Luke's in computer operations, and later at Baptist hospital at the information desk until retirement.
One of Elroy's favorite pastimes was fishing. He made many fond memories with his children and grandchildren from the end of a pier. An even greater passion for him was his garden. He enjoyed sharing the produce of his garden and trees. Family, friends, neighbors and co-workers all enjoyed sharing fruits of his labor. Of course, his grandchildren were at the top of his list. Any activity with them was a favorite of his.
Elroy leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Helen Virginia Pieper (Ginger). He had three sons: John (Melinda), Timothy {deceased} (Vicki), and Michael (Candida). He had 8 grandchildren Nathan (Ashley), Justin (Loucindy), Matthew (Shannon), Joshua, Zackery, Ashley, Kayla, James, and 2 great grand daughters.
Elroy's father was Herbert Pieper, his mother was Caroline Phenniger Pieper. He has two sisters, Elorine (Allen) Franke and Faye (William) Samsel, and is preceded by this brother Dalton (Lla) Pieper. His father -in-law was Charles LaGrone and his mother-in-law was Evelyn Miller of LaGrone. Living family also includes brother in law Ronnie (Debbie) LaGrone, and various nieces and nephews.
