Edward Perez

Edward L. Perez born March 18, 1933 went to be with the Lord October 5, 2014.
He was an extraordinary man that lived a memorable life. All who had the honor of knowing him will always think of him and smile. At the age of 15 he persuaded his mother Soledad to sign his enlistment documents for the US Army by the time he was 17 he was a combat veteran of the Korean War. He went on to become a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, both of which he was very proud of , however his biggest pride was his family.
After his military service he worked for 39 years as a Psychiatric Nurse for the State of Texas. He is survived by his wife Ida Pearl, Sons Ruben (Mary Jo), Daniel (Ana Laura), Daughters Leticia Mendiola (Juan), Yolanda Perez, Hilda Perez, Grand Children Robert A. Gamboa, Kenon A. Perez (Sunny), Daniel Perez, Lydia A. Perez, John Mendiola (Monica) Great Grand Son Roman A. Gamboa. Brother Victor Perez, Sisters Mary Alma Hernandez, Frances Bernal and Rumalda Garcia. He will be missed but always remembered with a smile in our hearts.
