It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Edward Arnold Kraft, of San Antonio, on January 31, 2022 at the age of 61 years. Edward passed away at Brooke Army Medical Center San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Edward enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 18. In 1984, Edward met Susangay Kraft and went on to marry in 1987. They have three daughters, Alysha (32), Kyleigh (27) and Baylie (24).
Edward was a loving son, brother, husband and father, a brave and honorable airman.
He valued this service highly and attained the rank of MSgt. As part of this service, he served over 24 years earning several distinctions including Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, and Expert Marksmanship among many others. He also taught at the NCO Leadership school in San Angelo, TX. After retiring in 2002, Edward spent his time attending every country music concert possible as a great supporter of local country music, rooting for the Houston Texans, and spoiling his grandchildren.

He made friends everywhere he went, and this is apparent by his many friends from the service and country dance halls. His loved ones will remember his love of country music and affinity for funny jokes or not so funny jokes. “Steady Eddie” was loved by so very many.
“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.” Author Unknown.
