Edward Hall Jr. lovingly called Ed, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Odyssy Hospice. He was a resident of Windcrest Tx.
Ed was born February 7, 1938 in New Orleans LA.
He met and married Althea Muriel Henderson on February 19, 1984. Where they resided at Hacienda Heights CA, for 16 years.
He attended Junior college for 2 years and received recognition for 33 A½ years of dedicated service for Los Angeles County Sheriffs department CA. He started working as a custodian and moved up the ladder as a liaison to the Sheriffs Transportation Department inclusive of all motorized vehicles.
He retired in March 1997 at the age of 57. March 2001, Ed & Althea relocated from California to San Antonio Texas where they built their first home. in 2007 they built their second home and moved in Windbrook Estates in Windcrest Texas. Then in 2010 Althea and Ed were driving around and fell in love and moved to their current home in Windcrest Texas.
Edward Hall JR was blessed with 2 mothers and 2 fathers, who loved him dearly. Augestine Davis, Albert Sims JR, Rosa Lee Hall, Timothy T. Hall. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Preston, Juanita Pugh and one son, Sherman J. Nevens. He leaves behind his wife, Althea M. Hall, sons, Sheldon E. Nevens Jr (Janice), Steven F. Nevens (Alexia), John N. Nevens SR (Sheron), and Ronnie T Hall, one daughter, Antionette Hall, brothers, Albert Sims Jr. and Michael Sims, and one sister, Gael Baskerville , 23 grand children and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, inlaws and friends. Last but not least his precious Jasmine, who misses him dearly.
Service will be Monday January 13 2014, 10:00 am at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd, San Antonio Texas, 78239 (210) 599-2035
