Dorothy Bonewell

Dorothy Mildred Bonewell was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 6th, 2019 at the blessed age of 90, just 4 days before her 91st birthday.  Dorothy was born on June 10th 1928 in San Antonio, Tx to Frederick Crum Sr and Thelma Zwally Crum.  Dorothy later married Tech. Sergeant Charles Bonewell on June 28th 1959 in Pampa, Texas. During Charles and Dorothy's time together, they traveled to different countries, including North Africa,with the United States Air Force.  Through out her life Dorothy worked many jobs but being a homemaker was truly her profession.  She took immense pride in the cleanliness and organization of her beloved home in Kirby, Texas,   Anyone that entered Dorothy's house was greeted with a hug and was genuinely cared for.  Dorothy never let a soul go hungry while in her presence and that included her pets.  She adored her yearly visits from her hummingbirds especially.  She was also an avid kitten rescuer, loved and cared for many dogs, brought seed for her wild birds and was a lover of all God's creatures that wandered in her yard.  She also enjoyed playing bingo at Country Care Manor with her favorite bingo partner, great-grandson Kendall Lee Wilson.

She will be united in heaven by her husband Charles, daughter Dorothy Louise Lindquist and son in law Wilbert Lee Praesel .She is survived by her sister; Florence "Flossy" Forgason, son; Kenneth (Betty) Wood and her daughter; Kathy Praesel, grandsons; Mickey Allen Wood,  James (Cindy) Stoufflet, Tony Stoufflet, Brad Bergeron, granddaughters;  Teresa (Darrel) Davis, Jodie (Zac) Wilson and numerous great-grandchildren. It is with sincere gratitude that the Praesel-Wilson family recognize Country Care Manor in La Vernia, Texas and Bee First Hospice for their care and love for Mrs. Bonewell.    She was blessed by all of her caregivers who treated her as if she was their own.  Dorothy will be greatly missed but her love will live on with us for a lifetime.

Funeral Services 10:00 A.M. Wednesday June 12, 2019 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with committal to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
