Doris Ann (Priez) Buckner, born July 11, 1944, died on Friday, October 7, 2022.
She was a resident of San Antonio, Texas and was born in New Orleans, Louisiana daughter of the late Albert Joseph Priez, Sr. and Ellen B. (Sculthorp) Priez.
She grew up in Algiers and then Belle Chasse, Louisiana where she graduated from Belle Chasse High School as a talented young woman, participating in many school activities such as the marching band as a majorette and a flutist as well as played in a variety of sports.
Doris’ faith and dedication as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses was most important her whole life through.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Albert Joseph “Al” Priez and Robert George “Bob” Priez and her sister Mary Ellen Priez O’Quin and brother-in-law James O’Quin.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Dennis Dan Buckner; daughter Jennifer Kaye Holota; stepchildren Rory Buckner and Michelle Buckner; step-grandchildren Nicholas Holota (Gina) and Kelli Mazzie (Dave); and step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Carol Jean Wilburn (Richard), as well as nieces and nephews Tommy Priez, Gigi Priez, Jimmy O’Quin, Jody Vallet, Jamie O’Quin, Kira Gilmore, Lisa Jackson and Amy Linn; as well as great-nieces and nephews.
