Donna Gail Emmons departed this earth on March 19, 2022 at the age of 72 after a short illness. Llama, as her loved ones refer to her, lead a fantastical and adventurous life. Never one to play by the rules, she lived her life her own way. From standing up to racism in high school, to being a force to be reckoned with in every other aspect of her life. Llama was born on December 15, 1949 to Virginia Reynolds and Douglas Emmons in San Antonio, Tx, and she lived here for most of her life. As well as working for Yellow Cab for nearly 50 years, she was an amateur historian and writer. Fascinated by Texas history, specifically, she leapt at the chance to share her knowledge and take the family children to various Texas historical sites. Mission Espada was her favorite of the missions. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Robin E. Alva and husband George, Raven E. Halverson and husband Brian, and Rynn E. Borg and husband Alfonso Bejarano, her 4 grandchildren, Christopher M. Cunningham and his wife Kayelyn, Brittany A. Cunningham, and Ashley M. Wilder and her husband Shawn, and Norah A. Bejarano. Her 2 great-grandchildren Madison R. Cunningham and Catherine M. Cunningham. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2-5pm. Please call Robin at (210)548-4077 for address.
