On 9 September 2022, our Gracious Heavenly Father called Donice Ray Warlick, 74, home. Don died peacefully surrounded by those who loved him. Don was born in Lubbock on 7 February 1948 and was a life-long Texan. Upon graduation from Monterey High School in Lubbock, Don joined the United States Marine Corps. He served proudly during the Vietnam Era and epitomized the values of the Corps for the remainder of his life. Don married his sweetheart Pam on 21 March 1970, and they spent the next 52 years together growing their family and living their happily ever after. He worked many years in construction before transitioning to The Home Depot where he was able to share his knowledge and experience with others before ultimately retiring in May of 2020 after 29 years. Don was a fixer and a doer. He enjoyed building, repairing, and tinkering with all things mechanical. He found true joy and happiness through his family, and most of all, his role as Papa to his seven grandchildren.
Don was beloved by all who knew him, especially his family and close friends. Don was extremely proud of his Native American heritage and enjoyed passing that history, knowledge, and skill onto his grandchildren. Don was dedicated, loyal, and hardworking, and his passing has left a void in the lives of so many. He will be sorely missed by friends and family alike. Don was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Warlick. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Warlick; daughter, Misty McCormick and boyfriend Donnie Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Wes Hebert; grandchildren, Caleb and wife Molly Hebert, Kirsten Hebert, Hudson Hebert, Saylor Hebert, Reese Monfort, Kaden Monfort, and Peyton Monfort; father and stepmother, Johnny and Donna Warlick; brother and wife, Rick and Janetha Warlick; brother, Rodney Warlick and wife Toni; and many nieces and nephews.
